True, but we're talking about the larger impact of gay men on society and thus, the very topic of this thread forces us to generalize. Gay men, in general, do have a good fashion sense and to deny that is to ignore reality (why else would they make a show called queer eye for the straight guy?). Not all gay men, but in general they do. And since we're talking about contributions to society, I would say that fashion has been the most significant. If you can think of another, I'm all ears.

And I wasn't talking about just "hanging out" with lesbians. Lesbians are entertaining to straight men because straight men love watching two hot women making out. I dunno how to explain it but two hot lesbians making out is one of the most awesome sights a straight man will ever see. It's definitely their best contribution to society.

How about westernized thinking?

Socrates/Plato weren't exactly "Hetero", you know? "The greatest love that can be shared is between two men." Sound familiar?

Can add Aristotelian thinking as well, thus when you really think about it, the european/western mindset was really created by a couple of "homos".

Perhaps all you homophobes should move to China... Wait, they too have a history of homosexuality during the fuedal eras... Hrm.

Well, to the Antarctic with you then! A last vestige untouched by homosexual hegemony.

Seriously, I expect you to be gone within the week.

In California if you do not hire them they can sue based on the fact that they were homosexual. Now if someone were to do it to a black man the whole of the U.S. would not even care. Why is it that they are getting special privilege. How can you sue because you were not hired? Gay people are sickening to me. Now civil unions are being made for them and marriage is beginning to become accepted by our average american citizen. Where has our country gone? How come we can not concentrate on a more effective topic like education or our U.S. Military.

I have to agree with you. Good post. I cannot stand gay marriage or seeing homosexual public displays of affection, it is sickening. Even more sickening is two gay partners adopting children to raise. \/
Don't you think that just might have something to do with you being young, male, and heterosexual? At your age, I wasn’t very comfortable around gay men either. Now, to use a terrible cliché, they provide someone to tell my wife that she paid too much for her shoes and has great taste in wine.

You may never approve of gay men much, or at all, but I suspect they will bother you much less as you age. I also suspect that you find two girls kissing pretty hot, and that is a homosexual-bisexual activity that a lot of us think is just great. I know I think it's cute as hell.

And vice versa with straight chicks and gay guys kissing.

Yeah, one of my female friends asked if she could videotape me and my boyfriend making out one time. It's sorta creepy.

Yeah, but I suppose this is another one of those things that you can't prove on the Internet...
i now respect you even more  , from my knowledge baseit seems that coming out of the closet takes a sort courage. some i have can be downright evil if they find out their friend is gay/bisexual. Although it is interesting that you are certain of your sexual orientation at the age of 13(i do take your word and do beneive you are thirteen)

Coming out on an anonymous internet forum is different than coming out in real life. I'm outed here, I tell people if they ask.

In real life, boy do I deny it like hell. Only 2 people know that I'm gay and they're good friends, those 2 happen to be twins Lol.

This debate is totally pointless. Haters of homosexuals will never budge, they won't try to understand your argument, nor will they change their mind. They will spend the rest of their life trying to find a counter to your argument before they change their mind. Homosexuality is just that sexually unappealing to them. It's really an endless debate. They'll keep finding small examples of where a select few homosexuals have done some evil, and will use that as some kind of proof of the flaws in them...I'm so sick of this.

When I first came out I was scared out of my mind, even though I live in a very tolerant city. It's people like the creator of this thread that make it like that.

Here is the reason why I don't like homosexuality. I find it filthy, dirty, disgusting, and unnatural. Homosexuals think they deserve special treatment because they are homosexuals. They use the media to show the world what they do. While I am watching TV I do not want to see homosexuals. They are trying to ruin many things like marriage and adoption. There are more reasons too but I think you get the point.

Filthy? Fine. Dirty? Fine. Disgusting? Fine.

Unnatural? Incorrect. Homosexuality has existed since the beginning of humanity; saying it is unnatural is like saying heterosexuality is unnatural. Just because it doesn't fit into the cycle of reproduction doesn't make it "unnatural." Maintaining otherwise is a lie, quite frankly. Are you a liar?

As per TV, frankly, I couldn't care less about what you want to see. If you don't want to see it, don't watch it. Grow up.

As per marriage and adoption, you've already been thoroughly defeated in a variety of threads. However much your bigotry may maintain your stance, it doesn't mean your opinions are based on logic or reason.

If I am so defeated, how come most states don't let gays get married then?

You find it disgusting...good for you. Hey, some people find fat people disgusting. Are they wrong?

Quote: I find it filthy, dirty, disgusting, and unnatural.

Homosexuality does occur in nature. It is therefore, by definition, natural.

Quote: Homosexuals think they deserve special treatment because they are homosexuals.

Do they? Every single one of them? Nope. The vast majority just want equality and tolerance.

Quote: Here is the reason why I don't like homosexuality. They use the media to show the world what they do. While I am watching TV I do not want to see homosexuals.
TV stations are companies that provide a product. If you don't want to consume that product, then don't. Change the channel if you don't like something. Or go read a book. There are lots of books that don't have homosexuals. Some even have pretty pictures, again not of homosexuals. I reccommend The Cat in the Hat.

It won't change the fact that millions of viewer love shows like Will and Grace, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Graham Norton.

Quote: They are trying to ruin many things like marriage and adoption.
There are 5 million kids up for adoption. At the current rate, it would take 41 years to adopt them all. Please, tell me how loving homosexual parents adopting some of these children aggravates this problem.

That you're a bigoted moron? Oh, yes, we all got it already. Thanks for driving the fact home, though. It's nice to be reassured once in a while, and with you that reassurance comes on a frequent basis. Thanks for that.

I respond because I cannot stand it when people knowingly propagate hatred and misunderstanding. Ignorance is an affront to civilization, so I, for some reason, feel the need to dispel it.

Why aren't most states allowing gay marriage? For the reasons you've already outlined in many posts. Does that make them valid?
