I am doing research and find it incredibly difficult to locate any information on the military setup of many countries. As I am doing an analysis of almost every country that holds any power in the world, any setup that you can outline for me would be a blessing.

Why do you expect countries will give all the details about their army and publish it?

There are tons of stuff published on the army set-up.

Briseis: What kind of information are you looking for? Give me some specifics, and I'll try & help.

If you're serious on this, you could purchase one of the many products published by Jane's Information Group, one of the major publishers of security information around the world.

These are professional products directed at companies and organizations, though, and are accordingly priced .

I agree with Secondary, it's pretty hard to go past Jane's.

Actually there are people that can be quite helpful on military sites. I was in the U.S Army for 4 years. I had to become quite familiar with the different processes, and inner workings of the different sub components i.e job of different braches ect. If you need any GENERAL U.S. Army help let me know. If you need help let me know. I will look up all my old reference material.
