sure as Hell isn't going to be the torries over here, Steven Harper doesn't like atlantic Canada and we don't like him.
Doesn't matter,
Everybody knows that the only provinces that matter in the Federal election is Quebec and Ontario.
Funny isn't it? The 2 biggest subsidized and 'crap nothing' provinces matter the most, who would'a thought? |

| If Stephen Harper didn't like Atlantic Canada, why would he appoint Peter Mackay as the deputy leader? |

If in Ontario, either Liberal or Tory.
In the West, Tory.
In the Maritimes, for whichever Party looked like a winner.
Why?
Because our federation has sadly degenerated into regions obliged to look after themselves. Quebec is the only province that publicly acknowledges that 'me first' is a successful strategy. Ontario is next.
The governance of Canada no longer works for a large proportion of its citizens.
Its always been like that, Trudeau was one of the only PM's that ever gave a crap about the WEST
Yes, Trudeau certainly demonstrated his love for the West with the NEP, and his 'fuddle duddle' one finger salute to his fellow citizens.
And no, it has not always been like that. The Bloc elected its very first member in 1990, and won real power in Quebec in 1993. The Tories were formally formed last year.
Quebec used to switch and swap between PC and Liberal, so did Ontario and the maritimes. The West was nominally NDP ad PC, with a smattering of Liberals.
Not any more. Regions are starting to recognize that Quebec may have the right idea in our very ill federation: look after yourself first, because nobody else cares. And regions are starting to vote that way too. Watch out for Ontario, they are not at all happy with the deal that Ottawa made with Nfld and NS. The rift between provinces and Ottawa gets wider all the time. |

But what is Quebec really looking after. It province wide welfare checks it recieves from the Feds
I hink provinces like BC, Alberta and Newfounland should look after themselves. NFL tried, by being promised all its oil revenue, and then the feds told them to 'eat it' and screwed them.
I indeed watch out for Ontario. It freeloading ass scares the hell out of me. The only thing ontario has going for it is Automobiles, and a larger tax pot.
Ill stick to my oil producing provinces any day.
Im not trying to sound like an ****, but that is just how I feel. |

Because then the conservatives and the Quebec separatists won't be able to get elected! |

Themselves, first and foremost.
That is not a criticism. It is starting to look like every province/region will have to do the same to get a fair shake. Greed rules. |
