An author who's name is Barber wrote a Book in the Name Jihad VS McWorld.

The points of the book:

* McWorld = Unions and international as McDonalds, who spread their influence and the media who spreads modernism, and makes the tribal relations less tight.

* Jihad is the reaction of this tribes to McWorld. They should be eliminated from the root. As it's written in the book, the Muslims don't want the Islam to be as the religions in the western world who are saparated from the state, they want it to rule the state. So they attack those who they think are bringing it.

* In this strrugle the Islam will loose because what power does the Imam has against soap operas?
None. Eventually the Jihad will be defeated because of the spreading Modernism.

But, sometimes it's being mixed, with Jews, there are many Religous Jews who are very modern but they keep tradiyion, but I don't talk about the Reformic Jews.

It's okay to keep with tradition... but the Arabs' tradition is much, much different and they let it interfere way too much with their government.. and stuff.

I've been to few Arab Villages last year and to the PA, and their whole culture is based on religion that contrdicts Modernism.
For example, my Father met a Palestinian client to sell him something on friday, and we were told to come in a special hour, and when we left, the whole villages were starting to get empty for walking to the mosques.

The fanatical muslims are a minority. Unfortunately we have this tendancy to judge a whole population by looking at the actions of a minority.
In fact muslim people are extremely friendly, you'd really be amazed. At some moments I didn't believe people could be this nice. At least that was what I retained from Egypt, and also Tunisia.

It's funny though to read some peoples' reactions concerning muslims. They go on and on about how much muslims hate everybody, and keep pointing out the negative aspects etc etc. And then you wonder, geez, who are these people who supposedly speak out against hatred, and then suddenly show nothing but hate against a whole population? In the end, who is really brainwashed?
