I see, well I think anyone would agree that for the most part war should be avoided. Nobody likes men, women and children to get sacrificed in war, but I just wanted to point out that sometimes it is a requirement for the greater good and advancement of some situations.
I was just checking out your communist league website D@N, is this movement a non-violent one? |

| as much as I disagree with violence, the YCL(young Communist League) is not a pacifist organization, they don't support terrorism, and believe that it is completely wrong to target civilians or non combats, pleasre don't consider them the same as al-quade. However, since they are a revolutionary organization, and belief that in order to obtain power for the worker and common proletariat and to remove the rulers of their abuse of the worker, the use of violence may be required. IE; they support the actions of rebel groups fighting for communism through out the globe, but if these groups were to bomb a school or kill Innocent people, shoot up a church. We would condemn them. However I strongly support a non-violent solution over a violent one. Heres where I become torn, I'm an applying member of the army, and the young communist league. thats two separate oaths. One to support and defend the principles of socialism and the proletariat, and another to Support and defend the queen and the state... Quite the crossroads as I am a starch communist, but Love the military life and respect and enjoy the military at the same time. |

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The war was already on before the Nazis started their mass slaughter of the Jews. And quite frankly, the allied powers were not too concerned about the treatment of a group of people they were not too fond of anyway. And Canada would not allow any Jews to come to Canada when they were fleeing Nazi Germany. |

I read a little story about the cooperation between the Canadian and Israeli air force. There are often mutual visits and sharing of knowledge between the two militaries (as with many other air forces), so when the head of the IAF visited Canada a few years back, the Canadians wanted to show him their CF-18 Hornets, which is one of the most modern planes in the world. Israel doesn't have F-18s and the commander of the IAF had never sat in a Hornet, so they asked him to jump in one of the planes (a two-seater version) and take a ride with them. They took off in formation, one plane with the IAF general plus another pilot, and a second plane.
After a while of being impressed with the Canadian pilots and the modern aircraft the Canadians asked the head of the IAF if he wanted to take the controls and fly. He did and maneuvered a little to get the feel for it.
The Canadians were impressed so they asked if he wanted to do a dog-fight with them. (not every day do Canadians have the chance to get into a dog fight with a Israeli pilot who has fought in several wars) He agreed.
After less than a minute the head of the IAF (who had never flown in a F-18 before) locked on the second plane making a 'kill'. The Canadian pilots didn't feel so bad to lose in their own machines on their own turf since, after all, this was a guy who had been in many real-life dog-fights and was like a celebrity to them.
It would be like a Kung-Fu black belt losing to Bruce Lee. There's no shame in it... |

The people volunteered and the government sent them, our government shipped them across the Atlantic. |

when I say send I mean allow the volunteer soliders to go fight, this all started when a poster claimed that we had to send trops because of our ties with Great britian, I said that no we didn't ahve to but choose to allow the volunteer soliders to go fight.
If no one understands that then I am giving up on this because no one appears to be able to read my posts clearly. |
