Current news on BBC: “The USA has defended its decision to sell F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan, in the face of opposition from India.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said the fighters would help the Pakistani air force maintain an effective deterrence level - but stressed Pakistan had no aggressive intentions towards any country”.
Of course, it does not. But the US does. Pakistan gave an OK for Americans to deploy in five Pakistani air bases that Washington was allegedly going to use in its war on terror (namely, the Taliban and Al-Quaida militants). But don’t let them fool you. In fact, the US is going to use the new bases in its aggression upon Iran (and China later on).
Under these circumstances, the recent decision of the US to unblock the sale of F-16s over Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program looks quite reasonable as Washington insisted that Pakistan should take part in the US aggression acts against other states.
However, it may cause great problems to Pakistan itself - the Iranian secret service won’t ignore the US bases on the territory of a bordering country that also gives home to Islamic extremists. I’m absolutely sure that these very extremists will be the ones to commit acts of sabotage in the bases.

American aggression against China???!?!?!?!!?!??! That's the biggest load of sh*t I've heard ever. America only wants to defend Taiwan and its freedom, the last thing America wants is a war with China.

But I don't agree with America's military support of Pakistan, at least until it stops its threatening behavior toward India. India and Pakistan need a formal peace treaty and resolution to their border dispute before America supports either nation's military.

Pimpkie, Americas involvement in the taiwan issue is in itself, an agression against china and frankly the the United States getting in the way of China is like a colony of ants blocading a pack of elephants.

I agree however about Americas support of Pakistan, afterall, just look what has happened in the past when Aerica has supported other govs millitaily, wouldnt want to have to go in and clean up the mess in 20 years now would we?, wink wink.

America's Goal in Asia I believe is to prevent any power from becoming too dominant. With the rise of China and perhaps even India, our Gov't has decided to support a lesser state such as Pakistan as a counterweight against the other powers. The U.S. policy with the issue of Taiwan and the lifting of EU arms embargo is just another example of our Gov't's attempt at containing the Dragon from overstepping its current boundaries. It is naive to think that our involvement in Taiwan is purely an altruistic one. One can't blame China for feeling constricted by the U.S. - troops in S. Korea, Japan and Phillipines.

It was a good movie, but some of the scenes I don't quite understand or I don't quite find them believable. "Zatoichi" and "Brother" are about the only two notable films by him that I know about. I like Zatoichi much better, since it was based on a time much removed from ours, Takeshi Kitano was able to make use of his imagination much more.
