well specific country positions can be found simply by going to the UN homepage, go to member states then select home pages of the permanent missions. Simply select your country or countries and go from there.

Most countries will have statements especially after the High Panel Report and Kofi Annans UN reform proposals. Some countries even have there own pages on UN reform

The UN is the worst organization on the planet. Other countries should defend themselves instead of relying on others.

That kind of mentality brought war to europe for a thousand years. f**k that, the UN isn't perfect but it is better than international anarchy.

And agreed again*.

I see the basic concept of the UN as a very positive one; it's just that the implementation pretty much s*cks.

*Actually, agreeing with Canada_rocks recursively means I agree with Eton , so I didn't need to write it twice

Why does it stand by? Because the permanent five veto policies that are against their interests. Don't blame the UN blame the big five. The reform must come from that quater, e.g. strip them of the veto powers.

They deserve their veto powers and permanent seats on the security council, because they did when the war, and they are some of the most powerful nations on the planet. Because of that they must remain in a position of power to affectively monitor the world.

The United States does not need the UN. The United States has enough power to "survive" on its own.
