You really believe that that's all this is about? I give you a little more credit than that, Eonve. To believe that would be to believe warfare is a game of checkers...I think it's closer to chess. There are many reasons why we are setting up shop in Iraq...and there are many reasons why Iraq was chosen. But, I don't think Bush has much say in the matter. |

i am anti-bush, but i guess in your mind this also mean anti-american.
as for continuation, i don't really care. i have already seen that your position is very weak and you simply cannot defend it. there is no substance to your claims and you don't think logical enough to asnwer my criticism and consistently make your case. |

i do think that his personal ambitions and desires had something to do with the war. of course, this does not completely explain what has happened, but i just did not bother to expound on that. poor johnlocke had already hard time answering to my posts and i did not want to make it even worse for him. you know me, sandman, i see people's weakness and i am merciful to them. but there was definitely more in play than just Bush. he is just too dumb. |

See...we can agree on some things. I wish pointing out this simple fact wasn't always responded with cries of "liberal!". The guy is a puppet...and it's never been more obvious than with him.
You should read the book "The Grand Chessboard" by Zbigniew Bzrezinzki. He was Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor. It was written in 1998...but in the book, he basically predicts every strategic move that has been made by the US military industrial complex since then. He even talks about how terrorist attacks from the middle-east would lead to a war on terror. He predicted the Iraq invasion. And he predicts that we will go into Syria next. Not only that, but he gives the true reasons for each of these strategic, thought out moves.
Check it out...it's probably something you would like. |

Don't take this the wrong way...but I knew you would agree with his writings. Your ideas of globalization remind me a lot of his. |
