|
|
I was visiting Niagara Falls this past Christmas and I stayed in a hotel on the Canadian side. One night I was flipping through the channels on the television and cbc was running a show about a politician who I think just retired and came out with a book. I was hoping someone could give me her name because I forgot what it was.
She said that she ran for office as part of a bet she made at some party. I believe she used to be a school teacher. She was playing pool and riding a motorcycle during the show. I think I remember her as somewhat heavy-set with short hair and possibly glasses. She was talking about her christian values. She struck me as someone who was a popular and well known Canadian official, but maybe I'm wrong about that. I wish I could give a political description, but I'm not too in tune with Canadian politics.
... that's about all I've got, I hope someone knows who I'm talking about. Thanks for any suggestions |

Shiela Copps?
Just a little FYI, people call her Tequila Shiela as a little inside joke ;) |

Yep, likely Sheila Copps, who daily demonstrated that people with intelligence well below average can function as politicians.
The only thing I applaud the Liberals for in the last decade is getting rid of her. At one time, she was Deputy Prime Minister, truly a scary concept. |

| Well, she certainly sounds as foolish as Sheila Copps... |

| I don't think that's an example of informed judgment. |

After reading the OP again, it is not Sheila Copps.
It is Deborah Grey. |
