The Canadian-Kyoto Accord

By

James Bredin

Chretien foisted Kyoto on this great land,
In order to impress that he was really the man,
And known as a noble statesman in the UN mode,
We accepted an international socialist type goad.

Ratification rammed through after a short discussion,
No deadline extension and hammered with percussion,
Certain industries may either change or shut down,
We may be unemployed as we just stand around.

Global warming is coming they say just wait and see,
Chretien said it and we were all forced to agree,
And of course George Bush took a totally different view,
If your job moves to New York State, could we go too?

Only the Liberal legacy will be allowed,
History will show that we are absolutely proud,
We will remember Chretien as such a great man,
And forget about feeding our kids if we can.

Fools. The economy will adapt, not simply "dissappear". I suggest you read some Adam Smith, Mercantilism has dies out in the modern world.
