The M1A1 is beautiful.
When it actually was getting hit by T-72s in Iraq, the rounds were literally slamming off the side of their armor and not causing any real damage. Its awesome to know that many of the steel dead hulks of T-72s in the Iraqi deserts were destroyed before they even reached striking range of our boys because of that 120mm Anti-armor round that flies out of the M1A1 like a bat out of hell. |

| I was watching the History channel and I saw something like 9 M1A1's took out 30-something T-72's in like 40 minutes. We would win. No debate. :) |

You mentioned Hitler, the blitzkrieg were virtually unstoppable because of the "lighting war" they induced. The German planes were inferior to the English yet they were gone after their raid was done.
The M1A1's could easily take down any T-72s the Chinese tried to place against them, but if they were not in position at the time, or were preoccupied in a distraction force of "rebels", the Chinese could do significant damage.
The other point that has to be considered is the country that China is attacking.
You are wrong yet again.
Why did the Blitzkrieg work so well? Because of overwhelmingly superior technology. Go watch the history channel, pal. The Germans offensive worked so well because they did the unthinkable: spearheaded the assault with armor. They basically punched a hole in the D of the enemy with armor with aircraft support then flooded the break with mechanized infantry. Back then tank warfare was only limited to infantry support: Thin armor, slow moving, highly explosive rounds instead of armor piercing. The Germans took the tank, added a much more accurate round with a harder punch then upped the armor and speed of the vehicle (look at the Mrk III, IV Panzers). Now France and Britain and all of the other wussy bunch were still running World War 1 tactics at the time of the assault. The reason Poland was taken down was because of their inferior weaponry compared to the germans. The Germans had better infantry tactics, better Air-to-air fighters (ME-109), better Air-to-ground fighters (JU-87? Stuka dive bomber), and better armor. Compare that with the Polands "legendary" cavalry units..........yeah, they stood about a snowball's chance in hell. The French then fell because their "unbreakable" maginot line was easily out-flanked over the Arden (or one of those forests) in Holland I believe. So don't tell me the Germans did all of that with inferior weaponry just because "They struck first" bulls**t. |

That would be Eagle troop, 2nd Squadron, 2nd Amored Cavalry Regiment at the battle of 73 Easting. Thank you very much. They just cover that one part of the engagement. The battle actually lasted 9 hours in low visibility against 3 seperate brigades of the Republican Guard. We kicked their ass. |

The main problem I see with America going to war with China is that they have the U.S. in a economic pocket. Most of the U.S's goods are produced in China I think. Now as far as America going to war with China over Tiawan, that would be a war in which America would definitly win.
America would win not because of numbers but because of superior technology, air dominance, and sea dominance as well. The Americans could simply block China by sea so that thye cant get to Taiwan and then pound them from air until they just give up. North Korea would probably not get involved and if they did what are they going to nuke? The only countries I think they would even consider attacking would be Japan, South Korea, or Taiwain.
If they suddenly attacked South Korea while the U.S was at war with China they would have no choice but to go to peace with China or let the nukes fly. America cant take on both North Korea and China at the same time. |
